My backgroundI became interested in nutrition while dealing with my own health issues and soon realised I wanted to take things further and train to become a nutritional therapist. I enrolled with the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in Richmond and haven’t looked back. I studied evidence based nutrition for four years to become a BANT & CNHC registered nutritional therapist.

My approach |
I offer one-to-one nutrition consultations at my clinic in Walton-on-Thames. I help clients with a range of health issues including digestive imbalances such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhoea, SIBO and candida; autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, fibromylalgia and coeliac disease; hormonal imbalances including thyroid, adrenal and blood sugar management; cardiovascular issues and food allergies & sensitivities.
I look at the complete health of a person using the functional medicine model. This approach considers both mind and body, making dietary and lifestyle recommendations, while working with other healthcare practitioners for the benefit of the client. |
Specialisation |
I am especially interested in the role of the digestive system and how fundamental it is to overall health. Often by addressing digestive imbalances other health issues can be resolved. I have a particular interest in SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and its resolution.
Hormone imbalance is also an area of specialisation- including thyroid function, insulin resistance, adrenal issues and the menopause. Above all, I have a real love of food and believe that positive dietary change can have a huge impact on overall wellbeing. I am fortunate to be able to use this passion to help others. Please get in touch if you think I could help you... Please call me on 07812 484736 to discuss how I can be of help or get in touch by email at sarahhogarthnutrition@gmail.com. |
